Kay-Dean holds the role as KCI's Board President and Director of Operations, Kay-Dean assumes responsibility for overseeing the organization's overall execution and adherence to its objectives. Kay-Dean is also the founder of Faith It Business Consulting and the host of the Faith In It With Kay Podcast. Currently, she is pursuing her Master's in Organizational Leadership and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Financial Management along with an Associate's Degree in Marketing Management. She has earned certification in process management as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Women in Business, and holds a position on the boards of Christiana Care Medicaid ACO.

With a career spanning over a decade in diverse business environments, and more than seven years in various leadership and management positions, Kay-Dean brings a wealth of experience to the forefront. Her profound understanding of business intricacies, from structural aspects to optimizing employee and volunteer engagement, positions her as a valuable asset. Kay-Dean is genuinely excited about the positive impact KCI will have on the individuals it reaches and the profound transformations it will facilitate in their lives as the organization guides them through the journey of self-advocacy.

Lynn Jones MS, LPCMH, NCC, holds the role of Vice President and Director of Clinical Programs at KCI, where she oversees all aspects of mental health materials, workshops, and presentations. In addition to her KCI responsibilities, Lynn is the proprietor of LCJ Counseling Services, LLC. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health and holds the distinction of being a National Certified Counselor. Her educational achievements include a Master's Degree in Pastoral Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Neumann University, where she graduated with top honors.

Lynn's passion lies in motivating and empowering adults and families as they confront life-altering emotional, medical, social, and spiritual challenges. With an extensive professional background, she has provided her expertise in various clinical settings, encompassing mental health and wellness centers, substance abuse treatment facilities, cancer care management, hospice care, senior care services, and correctional facilities. Lynn's life mission revolves around inspiring, encouraging, and empowering individuals through the written, spoken, and sung word of God.

Charlene Taylor, M. Ed., fulfills the dual role of KCI's Secretary and Director of Hospitality and Volunteer Affairs. Within this capacity, Charlene adeptly manages all facets of volunteer coordination and event hospitality. In her professional career, she shines as an outstanding English Educator and Department Chair in southern New Castle County. Beyond her educational endeavors, Charlene is highly regarded as an editor and tutor, well-respected for her expertise.

Her heart overflows with love for her family and friends, and she proudly embraces her role as godmother to five remarkable children. While mathematics may present a challenge, Charlene excels in offering a warm and inviting presence. As one of the initial points of contact at any KCI-supported event, her top priority is ensuring you feel welcomed and understood.

Val holds the role of Mental Health Advocate at KCI, with the desire to share her story. A seasoned professional in the creative field, she possesses a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and Technology, backed by over 30 years of experience in business administration across both for-profit and nonprofit sectors.

Val recognizes the challenges of each day and champions mental health by successfully managing bipolar disorder, depression, and anxiety. She passionately shares her story of resilience and serves as a Mental Health Peer Support Specialist, offering guidance and mentorship to individuals facing similar mental health challenges.

In addition to her KCI role, Val is the proud owner of Help Desk, LLC, an enterprise she has nurtured for over a decade. Her vast expertise spans marketing, graphic design, and video/audio production. Through her business, Val provides freelance graphic design and creative services, leveraging her technological acumen to assist small businesses in their growth and brand development. She takes great pride in delivering the highest quality work that effectively conveys her clients' messages to their target audiences.
